 The NHS

The NHS was first established on the 6th of July 1948 which followed on from the National Health Act of 1946. The NHS aimed to give out free healthcare across the UK. Many of the population had never seen a doctor before so the NHS was very overwhelmed and had to eventually introduce costs for some things such as glasses and dental work. Since 1948,life expectancy has risen by 13 years. The NHS is paid for through taxes paid by the people of the UK.

What does the NHS do and offer?

The NHS is designed to improve, prevent, diagnose, and treat both physical and mental health problems equally. It has a duty to each and every individual that it serves and must respect their human rights. The NHS offers many services such as Urgent and Emergency care services, Sexual health services, Dentists, Opticians and Online Service.

Codes and Conventions

In the past the NHS have done many campaigns such as the Change 4 Life which is now merged with the Better Health. Change 4 Life is a campaign which uses jelly babies that are silly and promote healthy eating and lifestyle.

Examples
This advert uses a playful vibe whilst also reaching across a serious message. It uses a children's voice over which also shows the target audience as younger people, even the simplicity of using the word 'pop' on the drink gives a younger people effect. The advert is also a cartoon which stereotypically is made for children and the younger generation. The advert focuses on substitutions for fizzy drinks, which is similar to the Stop Smoking which offers alternatives such as vapes. The campaign heavily focuses on substitutions and still believes that you can enjoy treats with less sugar. The advert uses many different sound effects and doesn't have the characters actually speaking. The advert is mainly for explorers who are willing to make the change to sugar free drinks. The social grade is aimed at D and E mainly age 18 and below as the advert is voiced by a child and the target for healthy eating. The advert also uses bright colors to capture the eye of the audience
This video has a variation of close up shots including the medium and extreme close up shots to really catch your attention. The opening shot is an explosion which really introduces you into the idea of change as explosions tend to alter surroundings. The advert is very fast paced which makes you need to concentrate on the advert. The advert also includes people exercising which is one of the main messages of the campaign. It also shows people having fun exercising. It also shows people with disabilities exercising sending a message that anyone can exercise. The advert is very light hearted much like the last one but is aimed at a wider target audience.

How will I follow the Codes and Conventions?
I will need to create a fun video which can be seen as comedic but also portrays a serious message, I will make it colorful and simplistic
