Post-Production - TV Advert

First of all, I picked a day where it was going to be sunny which just so happened to be the third of January. So, I grabbed my equipment and headed to my backyard. For my equipment I ended up using only my phone and my tripod in the end on the basis it was just much easier and more practical

I recorded in 4K on my iPhone which produced a super clear product in the end. I really wanted to heavily stick to the flat plan I produced whilst also using what I had at the time which meant swapping the chocolate for Doritos and an apple for an orange which in the end worked better as it meant that there was a colour scheme for the video.

So I recorded my footage which left me with many clips I couldn’t use.

Then it was editing time. Firstly I made sure to add the NHS logo over the whole video which sat nicely in the corner of the video

As i mentioned earlier in wanted to stick to the flat plan so i had to make the first initial video look dull by turning down the vibrance and saturation

This contrasted with the other clip where I upped the vibrance and saturation to make it look more vibrance reflecting the pathetic fallacy of the scene.

I didn’t actually need to add any sounds apart from my voice over because my munching was loud enough and I didn't want to overdo it. Then at the end of the video I added a faded image with the better health logo on an orange background to fit the colour scheme

The image I used at the end was initially a different colour to orange so I put it into photoshop and changed the hue to match the colour scheme of the video.

I like the final product as whilst it is very simplistic it gets a great point across. It sticks to a colour scheme and also follows the codes and conventions of the Better Health campaign. It is a short 15 second advert easy for people to understand.
